Manufacturing

We provide custom made hydraulic cylinders that more than comply with rigorous industry standards. We facilitate the entire manufacturing process for our hydraulic cylinders as our experienced technicians and engineers work seamlessly together channeling all efforts towards producing quality cylinders for use in any environment.
Currently we manufacture and stock over 200 different hydraulic cylinders and have the capability to produce bulk quantities to fulfill orders of any size. Additionally, due to our quick and efficient manufacturing process, we are able to provide cylinders and other O.E.M. hydraulic products with fast turnaround times.
Our product line covers .5″ through 15″ bore, with single-stage stroke lengths to 60′. Multi-stage, single- or double-acting, custom mounts, integral valving, cushions, sensors, and linear transducers are all available.
Manufacturing capabilities:

  • • Bore sizes from .5 through 15 inches
    • Stroke lengths to 60 feet, single stage
    • Multistage, double-acting, integral counterbalance valves
    • Custom designs or to your drawings

The GBI shop floor has evolved from late 60’s technology to the most modern, high speed, machining and turning centers. Welders are AWS D1.1 certified to assure that the welding processes meet the rigid standards you expect. Their fully documented quality assurance system has been audited by most of their major customers and has been found to meet all of their requirements.
The QA personnel are certified in various non-destructive inspection techniques. ISO compliance is our goal each year. All cylinders at GBI are hydraulically tested on test stands monitored to ISO 17/14 cleanliness. A modern, state-of-the-art paint system completes the process for protection and cosmetic perfection.
Engineering is a driving force at GBI. The engineering department utilizes the latest in CAD software, including 3-D modeling, to take your ideas from concept to shop floor programming. Where required, FEA is available to qualify their design to meet your requirements. Their commitment, engineering experience, and depth of knowledge of cylinder performance issues in many highly technical hydraulic circuits and machine applications are unequaled in the industry.
